We Answer This Question
You may bring your emotional support/therapy/service animal to Fairies Dreams & Fantasy. However; before we hop further in this topic, let’s start off with service animals!
We Allow Service/Emotional Support/Therapy Animals
Well, service dogs aren’t just welcomed at our facility. Here are the following animals that are supported, each animal has his/her pros and cons.
Cat
Your cat can be a service animal, depending on which purpose is set for this animal, for example: responding to epilepsy, reducing stress, reducing panic attacks. Unfortunately, most mainstream establishments require these animals to be confined to cages. This is not a way how service animals should be treated. Confinement can do more harm than good. Cages are only used for short-term uses like a place to use a litter box for disposal of manure and other waste generated by this animal. However; you can request us to implement a special toilet for your cat when requested, or when needs arrise
Your cat can be trained as a therapy cat. A cat can wear a harness, just like dogs do! Also, you can train your cat, if you properly invest enough time, or have an organization train her for you.
Be aware of other people within our community. You can add a message on your cat’s harness to let others know if your cat is working. Pet carriers are only used for short terms.
For the best results, do the following:
- Train your cat to be aware of her surroundings with positive reinforcement. Think about your cat who is assisting you via a designated job,–just like most service animals.
- Desensitize your cat during training sessions, even if you are an employee who works at this establishment. If any patron has cat allergies at any of our establishments, don’t bring your cat to any of these establishments. Animal allergies are taken very seriously. It’s strongly recommended to check with an associate before you bring in your therapy cat.
- If you are in an area where rabbits owned by a person/company/organization are present, its strongly recommended to avoid these areas,–unless you trained your cat to follow a KOSHER diet… but please keep extreme supervision at all times. If your cat strongly consumes rabbit meat, don’t bring her into our establishments.
- Always clean up after your cat with proper equipment, ask your associate for proper disposal of cat litter hosted by any of these establishments where therapy cats are supported.
Leash training your cat can be a way to add more safety. Although; cats cannot be left with a solitary setup. That requires 2 or 3 cats to keep them socialized. You may need to rent a dedicated run for your cat.
Note:
If your cat is xenophobic, and he/she won’t interact with other people, don’t bring her into our establishments. That help prevent any formf of liabilities against you.
If you work in a kitchen, or any place where food is present; your cat must be away from these areas. That prevents anyone from eating tainted food items being cooked via restaurant areas. If you were an employee; you may need to have your cat be placed at a dedicated room for her to settle down. Also, wash your hands thoroughly, or use a shower department for full decontamination. Your cat also needed to undergo decontamination for the best experience. Use efforts to eliminate fleas as a priority.
Use flea repellents wisely.
If you are in an arcade, noise can startle your cat, if you have no skills of training your cat to handle loud noise, have a skilled trainer train your cat for you.
If your service animal is ill, or not feeling well, keep your animal at home, and seek a licensed vet immediately!
Rabbit
Therapy/emotional support/Service rabbits are supported! However; a domestic rabbit doesn’t belong in a rabbit cage. We believe range roaming is an alternative. However; you should consider the following:
- We don’t observe domestic rabbits as livestock – rabbits are classified as companion animals, service animals, and therapy animals. Unfortunately, rabbits being raised as food is barbaric and we discourage ingesting rabbits as food.
- If you were bringing your therapy rabbit to Fairies Dreams & Fantasy, you may need to speak with an associate for guidance. We support range roaming of rabbits, as long they’re trained properly. Using modern forms of training (positive reinforcement only) is key for your rabbit to get the most out of Fairies Dreams & Fantasy. We also support Belgian hares (a breed of domestic rabbits), but you need to train them before you bring in your bunny. Train it like a service animal, or therapy animal.
- If your psychiatrist recommends you a therapy rabbit, or an emotional support rabbit,–or a service rabbit, you should abstain from eating rabbit meat at all times.
- Be careful of people who deceive you for phony services – these people can illegally slaughter your rabbit for meat or pelts. This is a problem for rabbit owners who oppose ingesting rabbit meat. All Fairies Dreams & Fantasy employees must educate patrons about why rabbit meat is NOT allowed.
If Your Therapy Rabbit Is Issued To You By An Organization
If you choose to have your organization train your rabbit for you. If your rabbit is issued to you, she must wear a harness that bare an organization’s name or logo with a hollagram that is too impossible to forge. If you were waiting for a futuristic ride-on version of a therapy rabbit for years to come, check with an organization who works with a rabbit breeder who is specialized of breeding large rabbits as companion animals, or converted from other rabbit breeds used as livestock. It takes trial and error… be patient.
To insure your rabbit has more security when she is issued by an organization, here are the following guidelines:
- An RFID chip is installed to her harness, baring a barcode or QR code – be sure to ask your issuing organization for RFID tagging, barcodes and QR codes to be embedded in your rabbit’s harness. If your rabbit is used for alternate source of dairy, such as rabbit cheese production via slow and expensive method that don’t require artificial methods of increasing milk production… your rabbit’s harness must have a disclosure, along with a numeric ID for their database.
- A reputable organization must oppose ingestion of rabbit meat (including slaughtering of rabbits for other products). An organization must vet all employees when they’re hired. Any employee who is responsible for cruelty to animals… such as; confining rabbits to cages for a long term, illegal slaughter, and even being used as food for other carnivores must be removed immediately.
- Newly selected clients being issued therapy/service rabbits must take training and long classes for at least 4 years, or until training/classes are done with a client’s pace.
- An organization must work with a reputable breeder who either oppose raising rabbits as food for pets and humans, or discontinued rabbits for meat and other products,–or a breeder who started breeding rabbits with a valid license. An organization must have a subscription to a breeder who offer subscriptions to reduce the burden of breeding rabbits with vast numbers. A breeder must have 4 times of security measures to keep predators at bay, such as high fencing, removal of dogs, cats, and other carnivores from a breeding facility. A breeding facility must have an outdoor area for rabbits to roam,–with places to take cover.
- If a client is issued a rabbit that is used for breeding future rabbits as service animals/therapy animals, her harness must bare the purpose of this breeding rabbit with a mandatory (NOT for meat production) in clear text via large print, or present when read with a code reader.
- Evolutionary training – this is key for your bunny to evolve.
- If your therapy/service rabbit reaches a suitable age for retirement, or a “switch out” schedule, a client must be notified immediately. For this instance, a sick bunny with multiple health issues (associated with prolong breeding rabbits for meat for pets and humans), if this is the case; rabbit breeders must plant trees to keep past bunnies in memory via a place that is not disclosed to the general public. This is key to help reduce greenhouse gas levels.
- A therapy/service rabbit shall NOT be obtained/bred via commercial breeding facilities where rabbits are raised for meat via vast quantities.
- A therapy/service rabbit shall NOT be obtained from commercial breeding facilities where rabbits are bred in vast quantities.
- A licensed breeder’s seal must be included when read by a code reader, or a genuine seal included on her harness. That should apply to ALL breeds.
- If a rabbit is issued to a child, proper training must be implemented by an organization, school teacher, case worker, social worker, or any other licensed person (NOT related by blood). Bullies must stay away from this service animal at all times, that also include siblings who are BULLIES too (mandatory)!
